Four Things To Do As You Age To Stray Strong, Agile & Fit!

I recently joined Jamie Bussin, host of The Tonic and publisher of Tonic Magazine, to talk about “Four Things to do as you age, to stay strong agile and fit”. Click here to listen to the interview.

1.    Take full responsibility for your own health and well-being. Taking great care of yourself is not a luxury; it is an act of ultimate personal responsibility, a non-negotiable requirement to ensure your highest quality of life today and for years to come.

2.    Continuously strengthen your health-promoting mindset. When supported by a health-promoting mindset, the physical exercises sequentially and consistently help you create a new relationship with your body, significantly diminishing discomfort levels.

3.    Be consistent. Do something to move your body every day; do something to calm your mind every day.

4.    Ask for help. There might be ups and downs in your healing or your progress towards a healthier, more capable body, but if your focus is unwavering and you ask for the support you need when you need it, you will definitely achieve your goal.

Most of the so-called “age-related” conditions that can cause a lot of pain and misery such as osteoarthritis, degenerative disc disease, disc bulging and herniation, poor posture and the plethora of conditions created by it are preventable when there’s a good plan in place.

Most people say that long-term chronic pain has left them feeling as though they have no control over their bodies or lives, that they are at the mercy of a physical condition that nobody seems to understand and can help them get out of.

This lack of control is very scary and a very important factor in keeping the vicious cycle of chronic pain spinning.

In order to gain control and take the wheel of your well-being into your own hands, you need a well-designed plan to get you there step-by-step.

This plan needs to give you the steps and the strategies, the support and the accountability that will help you get your body and your life back.

As our Vital Directives, clients know, the emotional and mindset work (when done at the same time with the physical exercises and therapies) will help your body heal with less resistance, with more ease, and in a faster manner.

Then, as your body experiences less discomfort and becomes stronger and more capable, you will feel stronger and more confident as well.

You’ll become less afraid to take risks, and you’ll enjoy life more.

As you establish the powerful physical, mental and emotional protocols that will ensure a complete and lasting transformation of body and mind, you start living your life with the confidence that your body is designed to heal and can remain pain-free and healthy as you age.

Your confidence in your knowledge about your body allows you to introduce the physical activities that bring you pleasure and continue increasing your strength and stamina.

You maintain momentum and continue to improve the quality of your life. You feel free and alive.

And when you don’t know what to do, or when you’re not certain of the effects of the prescribed exercises on your body, or when you forgot how to do an exercise, just ask for guidance. If you feel overwhelmed, ask for more support.

You do not have to do it all on your own.

You do not have to re-invent the wheel.

Your vibrant body and your vibrant health are your birthrights. With the right strategy and the right support, you can claim them.
