Working-Out Against Your Body

Is every single exercise you do instrumental in clearing imbalances and improving your alignment and posture?

And if it isn’t, than why not?

I believe that every step you take and every move you make (sounds like the old Police song, I know…:) ) can actually improve your alignment, posture and strength.

All you need to know is how to make each step, movement and exercise work for you, not against you… so that you can have a healthy, pain-free and active life for many years to come.

It’s like putting together a puzzle, each little piece contributing to the whole picture.

The first step is to significantly diminish discomfort, pain and the limitations that come with poor alignment.

What my experience has taught me is that  most people spend a lot of effort, time and money to feel better, move better and live pain-free, active lives but do not get the results they really want. They work out but their posture isn’t improving and their back is continuing to hurt.

They keep doing exercises that create even more imbalances instead of eliminating  them. That is not necessarily because the exercises are wrong or inappropriate for their current situation, but rather because they do them without prior understanding and awareness of correct alignment, position, movement and fascial tension.

After trying many modalities and exercises they get disillusioned, upset, depressed and eventually come to believe that they cannot get better… that they are condemned to live a limited, stressful and painful life.

If this is you, I want you to know that it does not have to be this way.

Your body has an innate capacity to heal itself.

If it has not healed yet, despite all your efforts, it only means  that you are not accessing the extraordinary intelligence that is embedded in your every cell, tissue and structure.

What if there was a way to access your inherent healing capacity?

What if you started doing the exact things necessary to ignite it and start using its power?

What if you knew exactly what works for you and what doesn’t?

You’d be in control.

When you’re in control every chosen exercise helps you realign, get stronger, heal injuries and long term damage, while laying the foundation for a vibrant and active life for many years to come.

Once you have this knowledge, every step you take and every move you make helps you feel better and better. Day after day after day!

YES, IT IS!

Here’s what you need to do, step by step:

  1. Understand what your body’s alignment and movement patterns are right now
  2. Compare them with what they must be if you are to move with more ease and less discomfort
  3. Learn where you need to start in order to create the most change in a specific area of your body
  4. Learn the most effective movements to help you start correcting the misalignment that keeps creating the problem
  5. Start doing these movements every day
  6. Apply what you are learning to everything in your life: standing, sitting, walking, running, swimming, Pilates, tennis, yoga, Tai-Chi, ELDOA and everything else
  7. Once the new skills become the norm, start the process all over again for a different part of your body

It is a process well-worth the investment of your time and effort. The knowledge you’ll gain while going through it will be yours to use for years to come, in everything you do… And you will know what to do to maintain your body strong, flexible and agile so that you can enjoy your life.
