Listening To The Body

I spent the first part of my life in pain, and I want to share with you one of the things that helped me create transformation in myself. As a clumsy child with poor posture and hyper-extended knees I sprained my ankles multiple times and even sprained my knees.

These injuries left my ankles and knees unstable. My feet were in so much pain that I couldn’t walk barefoot. A great deal of damage was done to the cartilage in my knees. Finally, I had chronic tightness in my hips and lower back. I believe that these compounded effects were the cause of a herniated disc in my late 20s; that pain was more intense than any of my previous painful experiences had been.

Because of all this damage, I felt fragile: I was incapable of long walks, skating, skiing, or any other sports. My body suffered in weakness and resistance—and the rest of me lived the same way. I felt afraid of life. I felt inadequate and stuck.

So how did I manage to get from where I was then to where I am today in my body?

My body helped me understand that it was capable of great progress, but only if I was patient and respected a certain sequence of events. Later, I organized this sequence as the Vital Balance System.

Healing my body did not happen overnight, but it did happen. My body showed me what I could accomplish safely right away – and what I had to wait to do.

I learned to listen to my body.

Initially, my efforts focused on my physical body and I felt stronger and healthier month after month, year after year.

But the greatest changes came when I connected with my emotions and learned to employ mental processes that reinforced the healing taking place on the physical plane. As this discovery was unfolding, I continued to study the mental, emotional, spiritual, and energetic aspects and began to create connections among them.

My journey from chronic discomfort, weakness and pain to enjoying life in a strong, flexible, and healthy body taught me that all of us are indeed capable of remarkable healing.

I’ve since dedicated my professional life to guiding others away from chronic pain and start living full and vibrant pain free lives.

My mission is to teach others that their healing capacity resides in themselves, not in other people or in the outside world.

Do you know how to start listening to your body?

Love,

Rucsandra
